Day 01    Arrive Dehradun/Haridwar & drive to Rudraprayag (4.5 hrs)
Arrive Dehradun Airport/Haridwar Railway Station by 1200 hrs. Upon arrival, you will be received and driven to Rudraprayag - The confluence of Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers.

Day 02    Drive to Gauri Kund, Trek to Kedarnath
After an early breakfast, you will be driven to Son prayag (60 kms/2.5 hrs). At Sonprayag, leave your private vehicle and board sharing shuttle taxis to Gauri Kund.
On reaching Gauri Kund start your 14 Km trek to Kedarnath- An Ancient Temple dedicated to lord Shiva, believed to be built by Pandavas. You can also use a Pony or palanquin, if you don't want to trek.
On arrival check in to your Hotel. Later visit the Kedarnath temple for the divine evening arti ceremony.

Day 03    Drive to Chopta
Start your day with your blessings of Lord Shiva. After the visit start your trek down to Gauri Kund. Climbing down is comparatively easier. On reaching Gauri Kund, board your vehicle, you will be driven to Chopta-also, called as the mini Switzerland of Uttarkhand. Decorated with bugyals (meadows) and snow-capped peaks all around, Chopta is one of the most picturesque places of Garhwal Himalayas
On arrival check in to your camps. Day is at leisure and to relax.

Day 04    Drive to Badrinath(140 Kms/ 5 hrs)
After breakfast you will be driven to Badrinath- One of the most revered temple, dedicated to lord Vishnu. It's also one of the "Char dham" (4 auspicious places) in India and believed to be the mediation place of Lord Vishnu.
Enroute visit the Narsingh temple and Shankracharya math at Joshimath.
On arrival check in to your Hotel.
In the evening attend the aarti ceremony at the Badrinath temple

Day 05    Temple visit and Drive to Karnaprayag(120 Kms/ 3.5 hrs)
Start your day with a sacred dip in the Tapt Kund followed by the visit to the Badrinath Temple. Visit other places of spiritual importance i.e Vyas Gufa, Matamoorti and Charanpaduka
Later visit Mana- the last village on the Indian side.
Later you will be driven to Karnaprayag- The confluence of Alaknanda and Pindar river<br>on arrival check in to your hotel. Evening is at leisure to explore the town on your own.

Day 06    Drive to Rishikesh (160 Kms/ 5 hrs)
After breakfast you will be driven to Rishikesh. On arrival check-in to your hotel.
Later explore the city of Rishikesh starting from laskhman Jhula, ashrams and temples. You can also opt for a rafting trip (direct payment). In the evening attend the magical aarti ceremony on the banks of River Ganges, at Triveni ghat.

Day 07    Departure
After breakfast you will be transferred to Dehradun Railway station/Bus Station/Airport to board your flight/train/Bus to onward destination.

Operational Information:

  • Travelers have to make their own arrangements for arrival and departure from Dehradun/Haridwar.
  • The tour involve tedious trekking and some high altitude areas and hence traveler has to be in good physical shape
  • Use Rucksack for packing your stuff and do not carry suitcase/trolly bags  as it is difficult to carry on trek.
  • Adventure activities are not mandatory. Travelers can opt out from these activities as these are not part of the tour price
  • Twin rooms (two separate beds in a room) are not readily available hence we will provide a double bed for two persons with two separate bedding (blankets/linen).
  • Most of the hotels/camps are of standard category and the buffet meals are pretty basic having limited menu.
  • Solo Travel India reserves the right of cancelling any travelers booking, if he/she is trying to create a ruckus amid tour
  • It’s a group tour and hence travelers are requested to keep in mind the comfort of fellow travelers
  • It’s a spiritual and hence consumption of liquor (even in the hotels/camps) is strictly prohibited in Kedarnath and Badrinath
  • Tour leader will not be provided for this tour
