TOUR ITINERARY
Day 01 Arrive Bagdogra and drive To Phuentsholing (4 hrs)
Arrive Bagdogra by 1300 Hrs. On arrival at the Bagdogra airport you will be received and driven to the border town- Phuentsholing which is also the immigration post for entry to Bhutan.
Post immigration, check in to your hotel. Evening is at leisure .

Day 02 Drive To Thimpu. (5 hrs)
After breakfast, you will be driven to Thimpu- the capital city of Bhutan and the center of government, religion and commerce, Thimphu is a unique city with unusual mixture of modern development alongside ancient traditions. With the population of about 90,000 it is perhaps still the world’s only capital city without a traffic light
On arrival check in to your hotel. Evening is at leisure .
Take an exploratory walk around Thimphu Craft Bazaar located a few minute walk from down town hotels. This market offers genuine Bhutanese arts & crafts thus contributing in promotion, protection and preservation of traditional arts.

Day 03 City Tour
After breakfast proceed for the city tour. Visit Buddha Point- known for the largest buddha statue in the country and National memorial- created as a monument to world peace and prosperity, Changangkha Lhakhang -one of the oldest monasteries in the Thimphu valley, Trashichhoedzong- also called as the “fortress of the glorious religion, Zangthopelri Lhakhang, Royal textile musueum and other important sites.

Day 04 Drive to Punakha (3 hrs)
After breakfast you will be driven to Punakha. Enroute visit the Dochula pass. On a clear day one can have panoramic views of the eastern Himalaya.

Later proceed for a visit to Punakha dzong a fortress serving as the religious and administrative centre of the region.
Also, take a hike to Chimi Lhakhang- the divine mad monk’s temple. It is a beautiful walk through a lovely village. Also visit Punakha dzong.

Day 05 Drive to Paro (4 hrs)
After breakfast you will be driven back to Paro. On arrival check in your hotel.
Later , you will visit Ta Dzong- once a watchtower, built to defend Rinpung Dzong during inter-valley wars of the 17th century. Continue walking down the trail to visit Rinpung Dzong- Built in 1646 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, the first spiritual and temporal ruler of Bhutan.

Day 06 Excursion to Tiger Nest
After breakfast you will be taken to Taktshang or 'Tiger's Nest' as it is often referred to Taktshang Pelphung monastery. It is one of the most venerated and famous of Bhutan's monasteries. Located on the face of a 900m sheer cliff, it is an impressive and unmissable site, but accessible only by walk or to ride mules/pony.
Along the way, visit the 7th century Kyichu Lhakhang- one of the 108 temples built in the Himalayas by Tibetan King, Songtsen Gampo. The building of this temple marks the introduction of Buddhism in Bhutan.

Day 07 Drive to Jaldapara national park (5 hrs)
Morning is at leisure. After breakfast you will be driven back to the Indian side, towards Jaldapara national Park.

Day 08 Jungle Safari+ Drive to Bagdogra airport (3 hrs)
Start your day with an early morning Jeep safari (on direct payment) in the Jaldapara national park, particularly famous for the endangered one horned Rhinoceros.
After breakfast you will be driven to the airport for your flight back to home.

- Services of an English speaking guide from Phuentsholing to Phunetsholing for 6 days only.
- SDF @ INR 1200 per adult and INR 600 per child per night

Operational Information:
- Travelers have to make their own arrangements for arrival and departure from Bagdogra.
- Jaldapara National Park remains closed between June 16 to September 14, Trips during this period, will not have any jungle safari on the tour.
- 2. Tourism Council of Bhutan recommends all visitors to be vaccinated against COVID-19 to help stop the spread of the disease however there are now no COVID-19 vaccination requirements for adults or children to enter Bhutan from September 23, 2022.
- All individuals (12 years and above) entering Bhutan may be subjected to random RT-PCR testing at the formal points of entry or at the worksite to maintain COVID-19 surveillance for new variants. No fee shall be charged for the RT-PCR testing for surveillance. If your result is positive, you need to stay in quarantine for five days. SDF during quarantine period is not applicable however guests need to bear the cost of accommodation and meals.
- Twin rooms (two separate beds in a room) are not readily available hence we will provide a double bed for two persons with two separate bedding (blankets/linen).
- The entrance fee to most of the monuments has been revised by the Government of Bhutan (given below) and all our quotes shall now be excluding monuments fee charges so that guests could decide on the spot which monument to enter and which not and buy the tickets directly through their guide
- Bhutanese License Tour guide is mandatory for travel into Bhutan.
- Most of the hotels/camps are of standard category and the buffet meals are pretty basic having limited menu. However, hotels/camps do prefer to know your requirement a day prior and will be happy to serve you.
- Solo Travel India reserves the right of cancelling any travelers booking, if he/she is trying to create a ruckus amid tour
- It’s a group tour and hence travelers are requested to keep in mind the comfort of fellow travelers
