TOUR ITINERARY
Day 01 Arrive Chennai and drive to Pondicherry.
Reach Chennai by 1200 Hrs. You will be picked up from Chennai airport and driven to Pondicherry. On arrival Check in to the hotel.
Later start your sightseeing of Pondicherry. The attractions scheduled for the day include Aurbindo Ashram, Pondicherry Museum, Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Nineteenth Century Light House. In the evening return to the hotel for dinner.

Day 02 Tour of Auroville
Today you will visit the Auroville. Auroville, established in 1968 by Mirra Alfassa also called as 'the Mother', by her followers. The society is still guided by her philosophy. She was also the co-founder of Pondicherry's Sri Aurobindo Ashram. Aurovillians run a huge variety of projects ranging from schools, IT, organic farming to renewable energy and handicrafts production, employing around 4000 to 5000 people from nearby villages. Talk a walk or ride a bicycle and explore this quaint town.

Day 03 Drive to Thanjavur (180kms/ 4 hrs)
After breakfast, you will be driven to Tanjore- also called as the Rice bowl of Tamilnadu.
On arrival check-in to your hotel.
Later, visit the famous and huge Brahadesshwara temple. One of the largest temple of India and a fine example of dravaidian architecture, Brahdeeshwara temple is a UNESCO world heritage site. Dedciated to Lord shiva, the temple was built by Raj Raja Chola in the 11th century.

Day 04 Drive to Mahabalipuram
After breakfast, you will be driven to Mahabalipuram. Enroute visit the Thillai Natarajar Temple- representing the AAKASH (Sky) element. Lord shiva is also worshipped here as Nataraja (lord of dance). Creating this huge temple comeplex took contirbutions of differnte rullers i.e Pallavas, Cholas, Pandyas, Vijayanagara and the Chera Rulers. The main sanctum of the temple where Lord Natraja is worshipped, has gold roof

Later, visit the famous Shore temples of Mahabalipuram. Constructed by Granite rocks these beautiful temples are now a UNESCO world heritage site. Spend the remaining time by the beach.

- Twin rooms (two separate beds in a room) are not readily available hence we will provide a double bed for two persons with two separate bedding (blankets/linen).
- Most of the hotels/camps are of standard category and the buffet meals are pretty basic having limited menu. However, hotels/camps do prefer to know your requirement a day prior and will be happy to serve you.
